We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant Urologist with expertise in Robotic Surgery to join a leading healthcare institution in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of urological conditions, with advanced experience in robotic-assisted and minimally invasive urological procedures.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering comprehensive urological care, including advanced surgical management, robotic-assisted procedures, and minimally invasive techniques. This position offers the opportunity to work within a progressive healthcare environment alongside urologists, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and multidisciplinary surgical teams.

Skills Description

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of urological conditions
  • Perform robotic-assisted and minimally invasive urological procedures
  • Perform complex urological surgeries using robotic surgical platforms where appropriate
  • Manage urological oncology cases, including prostate, kidney, and bladder conditions
  • Perform robotic-assisted prostatectomy, partial nephrectomy, and other advanced robotic procedures where appropriately qualified
  • Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative patient care
  • Evaluate and manage complex urological conditions and surgical complications
  • Develop individualized surgical and treatment plans based on clinical assessment and diagnostic findings
  • Collaborate closely with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinical case discussions
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and surgical service development initiatives
  • Support teaching, training, and departmental education activities where required

Qualifications

  • Board certification in Urology
  • Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Robotic / Minimally Invasive Urological Surgery is highly desirable
  • Recognised Tier 1 specialist qualification, including ABMS, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST, European Board, or an equivalent recognised qualification
  • Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Urology
  • Significant experience in robotic-assisted urological surgery
  • Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP

  • Strong experience in robotic urological oncology
  • Expertise in robotic prostatectomy and partial nephrectomy
