We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant Pediatric Oncologist to join a leading healthcare institution in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of childhood cancers and hematologic malignancies, with strong experience in delivering comprehensive, multidisciplinary pediatric oncology care.
The successful candidate will play a key role in providing evidence-based cancer care for children and adolescents, including diagnosis, treatment planning, chemotherapy, supportive care, and long-term follow-up. This position offers the opportunity to work within a progressive healthcare environment alongside pediatricians, hematologists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.

Skills Description
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage children and adolescents with a wide range of malignant and hematologic conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnosis, disease stage, clinical condition, and established treatment protocols
- Provide and oversee systemic cancer therapies, including chemotherapy and other appropriate treatments
- Manage patients throughout the treatment journey, including pre-treatment assessment, active treatment, and follow-up
- Monitor treatment response and manage therapy-related complications and adverse effects
- Provide comprehensive supportive care for pediatric oncology patients
- Manage oncologic emergencies and complications associated with malignancy and treatment
- Coordinate care with pediatric surgeons, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinical case discussions
- Communicate treatment plans, prognosis, and clinical information clearly with patients and their families
- Provide appropriate counselling and psychosocial support to children and families
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and service development initiatives
- Support teaching, training, and departmental education activities where required
Qualifications
- Board certification in Pediatrics with fellowship or subspecialty training in Pediatric Hematology & Oncology / Pediatric Oncology
- Recognised Tier 1 specialist qualification, including ABMS, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST, European Board, or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Pediatric Oncology / Pediatric Hematology-Oncology
- Extensive experience in the management of pediatric malignancies and hematologic disorders
- Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP
