The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality surgical services through comprehensive assessment, advanced surgical techniques, evidence-based treatment approaches, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Skills Description
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with complex oral and maxillofacial conditions
- Perform a wide range of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including facial trauma management, corrective jaw surgery, and complex dentoalveolar surgery
- Manage maxillofacial trauma, facial fractures, and reconstructive cases
- Provide surgical treatment for oral pathology, cysts, tumors, and related conditions
- Collaborate with dental specialists, ENT surgeons, plastic surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and service development initiatives
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Support teaching, training, and departmental education activities where required
Qualifications
- Board certification in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery or equivalent recognised qualification
- Recognised Tier 1 specialist qualification, including ABMS, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST, or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
- Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP

- Extensive experience in oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures and complex cases
- Expertise in facial trauma, reconstructive surgery, and oral pathology management
- Strong surgical skills with excellent clinical judgement and decision-making abilities
- Experience working within multidisciplinary surgical teams

- Ability to manage complex surgical cases with a patient-centred approach
- Strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement
