Consultant Ophthalmologist ( Oculoplastic Surgery )

We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Consultant Ophthalmologist ( Oculoplastic Surgery ) to join a leading tertiary healthcare institution in Dubai, UAE.

The successful candidate will provide expert clinical care in the diagnosis, surgical, and non-surgical management of oculoplastic and orbital conditions. This includes disorders of the eyelids, lacrimal (tear) system, orbit, and periocular structures, as well as reconstructive and aesthetic eyelid surgery, orbital trauma, tumors, and functional ophthalmic plastic procedures. The role involves performing advanced oculoplastic surgeries, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including ophthalmology, ENT, oncology, and maxillofacial surgery, and contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and the development of oculoplastic services within the institution.

Medical/Hospital

• Board Certification in Ophthalmology (CCT/CCST, FRCOphth, American Board, or equivalent).
• Fellowship training in Oculoplastic Surgery / Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization consultant experience in oculoplastic ophthalmology.
• Proven expertise in oculoplastic and orbital surgical procedures.
• Experience in managing complex eyelid, lacrimal, and orbital conditions.
• Experience working in a tertiary care or academic medical institution is preferred.
• Strong surgical skills and clinical judgment.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and patient management skills.
