Consultant Ophthalmologist

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Ophthalmologist to join a leading healthcare institution in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide expert care in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of a wide range of eye diseases and vision disorders for both adult and pediatric patients where applicable.

The role involves conducting comprehensive eye examinations, managing medical and surgical ophthalmic conditions, performing advanced ophthalmic procedures, and providing both outpatient and inpatient care. The Consultant will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and achieve optimal clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities include outpatient clinic duties, ophthalmic surgical procedures, patient follow-up, participation in on-call services, and contribution to clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and the education and mentoring of junior medical staff.

Medical/Hospital

• Recognised consultant qualification in Ophthalmology (CCT, CCST, American Board, Canadian Board, or equivalent recognised by UAE health authorities).
• Minimum 3+ years of Consultant-level experience in Ophthalmology.
• Strong experience in diagnosing and managing a broad range of ophthalmic conditions and performing ophthalmic surgical procedures.
• Subspecialty experience (e.g., Retina, Glaucoma, Cornea, Oculoplastics, Pediatric Ophthalmology, or Cataract Surgery) is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
