Consultant Infectious Diseases

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Infectious Diseases Specialist with Infection Control experience to join a leading healthcare institution in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide specialized care for patients with infectious diseases and play a key role in developing, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention and control programs to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of infectious disease cases.
• Manage complex acute and chronic infections, including healthcare-associated infections.
• Develop, review, and implement infection prevention and control policies in line with international standards.
• Monitor and evaluate infection control programs and practices within the healthcare facility.
• Provide specialist consultation to different departments regarding infectious disease management.
• Participate in infection control committees, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs.
• Educate and train healthcare staff on infection prevention practices and antimicrobial stewardship.
• Support the implementation of antimicrobial stewardship programs.

Medical/Hospital

• Board certification or equivalent recognized qualification (American Board, Canadian Board, UK CCT/CCST, European Board, or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in Infectious Diseases.
• Proven experience in hospital infection prevention and control programs.
• Strong experience managing complex infectious disease cases and healthcare-associated infections.
• Experience in developing and implementing infection control policies is preferred.
• Eligible for or holding a valid UAE medical license (DHA/DOH/MOHAP) is preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
